• Disposition of a portfolio of hotel properties across the United States for a publicly traded REIT.

• Managed M&A transactions for a variety of different companies on the buy and sell side.

• Managed the sale and exit of numerous technology companies.

• Managed the acquisition, sale, and leasing of retail shopping centers and office buildings.

• Facilitated the private placement offering of a variety of real estate transactions, from the acquisition of the land, to the securitization of the equity, to the final disposition of the project.

• Managed the stalking horse bid for multiple winery assets in Napa County, California.

While at the University of Texas, Michael was an All-American tennis player and won an individual national championship in doubles.

Michael graduated as the highest ranking graduate in his class at Baylor Law School, where he served as the Managing Executive Editor of the Baylor Law Review. Before starting Blue Law PLLC, Michael worked as the President and General Counsel for the Ron Blue Institute and still serves part-time as its Director of Discipleship. Prior to that, he was the managing member of Blue Rhodes PLLC in Austin, TX, a senior associate at Winstead PC in Austin, TX, and an associate at Haynes and Boone, LLP in Dallas, TX.

Michael has sat on many non-profit boards and is currently serving at Davar Partners International, Pars Theological Centre, and Southwest Bible Church. Michael also currently serves as an adjunct professor at Wesley Seminary, teaching a masters level course on the theology of money and possessions.
